Need Five Minutes?

Parents are always trying to find new ways to keep their children busy for five minutes so they can go to the bathroom, eat, fold clothes, etc. Here are some simple homemade toys that I have found Jack will play with for at least five minutes.

1. Measuring Cups-cheap and always on hand in the house
He uses them to bang on the floor and likes to hide his nuk in them.
2. Empty cardboard boxes-Again, cheap and always on hand
He uses them to bang and stack. He also loves to put toys in them and then spill them all over the floor.
3. Plastic spatuala-Always in your kitchen drawer
He uses it as a hammer and also likes to carry it around.
4. Empty Milk Jugs-the best household item
He loves this! He likes to bang it on the floor, roll it, and it makes some different sounds that he finds interesting.
